Gila River Employment & Training Department

The Employment & Training Department consists of approximately 30 fulltime staff that are dedicated to serving the Community with a variety of services that lead to meaningful employment. The Department administers seven Grants; Federal WIOA DOL Youth and Adult, State WIOA DES Youth and Adult, Native Employment Works (NEW), for TANF recipients, AmeriCorps, and EEOC for TERO.

The Employment and Training Department (E&T) provides job training and work opportunities for youth and adults with the goals of: 
1.) Long term employment and retention,
2.) Increase in the educational and occupational skills of the workforce, and
3.) School completion and career development for youth. 
 
Our staff that will assist you in the development of a career plan, which may include, short term occupational training, apprenticeships, work experience, Internships, summer youth experience, Work Readiness, Soft Skills Training and GED Preparation. Click on each individual section to get more information.
